Chad Felty has made Woodridge Swim Club his special summer place to work and have fun since 1984. Mr. Felty has many fond memories enjoying the mystique and beauty of “Lititz’s best kept secret”. Through the years, Mr. Felty has enjoyed the nostalgia that has been maintained at the facility with regard to the beautiful foliage, original clubhouse, and the clean pools. His favorite memorable activities include kids’ nights, moonlight swims, and the festive 4th of July Campouts and Breakfasts. He continues to enjoy the family oriented atmosphere and the many people who participate to help keep Woodridge Swim Club a safe and relaxing place to spend the summer. Mr. Felty was an active member of the swim team for 10 years, and enjoyed helping to coach the team for multiple years. He began working as a maintenance worker and in the snack bar at the age of 14. Mr. Felty went on to fulfill the following roles at the pool: swim lesson instructor, lifeguard, assistant manager (12 years), and manager (12 years). He feels fortunate that others have noticed his passion for maintaining a highly esteemed establishment full of character and life. Aside from working at the pool, Mr. Felty has been a grade 5 teacher at John Beck Elementary School for 20 years. He has a wife (Robin), son (Ian), and stepson (Caleb).
Assitant Pool Manager
Mrs. Nikki Wingert is eager to come back for yet another summer at Woodridge Swim Club as the Assistant Manager. She has been a member of Woodridge since she was a baby, and one of the founding members of the pool can still remember holding her when she was just an infant as Nikki’s mom took her older brother into the pool. Needless to say, she has many wonderful memories at the pool whether it was enjoying raft day, being on the swim team, or having the perfect summer job as a lifeguard and swim lesson instructor. When she was first offered the Assistant Manager position in 2009, she was eager to fulfill a different job and also have the opportunity to work along side Mr. Chad Felty, who was her swim coach when she was younger. Working for Chad and for the members of Woodridge has taught her many positive life lessons, and when she stepped down from the Assistant Manager position after the summer of 2012, she was excited for her upcoming wedding in 2013 but she knew she was going to miss working at Woodridge over the summer. It was a pleasant surprise when she was contacted last year to fulfill the Assistant Manager position once again, and she is happy to be back for another summer.
After graduating from Lebanon Valley College in 2010, she began her teaching career at Manheim Township School District where she has been teaching for the past 8 years and 6 of those years have been in 3rd grade at Reidenbaugh Elementary School. Although teaching is a passion of hers, she continues to play field hockey, as this sport is still a love of hers after playing at Warwick High School and LVC along with coaching at Warwick at the Senior High level for 6 years. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy hiking, kayaking, fishing, and taking their yellow lab, Hank, for walks. They hope to continue to grow their family in the near future, but until then, she will look forward to spending another summer working at the pool!
